1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using RankedRust ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including players, clan members, and administrators.

2. Service Description

RankedRust is a competitive ranking platform for Rust game servers that:

• Tracks player performance using an ELO rating system
• Provides leaderboards for players and clans
• Manages wipe cycles with signup and map voting features
• Enables clan creation, management, and competition
• Displays statistics from connected Rust game servers

3. User Accounts and Eligibility

3.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use RankedRust. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and comply with all Steam age requirements in your jurisdiction.

3.2 Steam Account

Access to RankedRust requires a valid Steam account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate Steam authentication
• Maintain only one account per Steam ID
• Not share, sell, or transfer your account
• Comply with Steam's Terms of Service

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Steam account. We are not liable for any loss or damage from your failure to maintain account security.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Cheat or Exploit: Use hacks, bots, exploits, or bugs to gain unfair advantages
• ELO Manipulation: Farm ELO through arranged kills, stat padding, or collusion
• Abuse Systems: Exploit clan systems, wipe signups, or voting mechanisms
• Harassment: Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Offensive Content: Create offensive clan names, tags, or descriptions
• Multiple Accounts: Create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or manipulate rankings
• Unauthorized Access: Access other users' accounts or attempt to breach security
• Service Disruption: Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

4.2 Clan Conduct

Clan creators and members must:

• Choose appropriate clan names and tags (no offensive, hateful, or inappropriate content)
• Respect other clans and players
• Not use clans to harass or target specific players
• Not create clans for the sole purpose of ELO manipulation

4.3 Consequences of Violations

Violations may result in:

• ELO reset or adjustment
• Removal from clans
• Deletion of offensive content
• Temporary or permanent account suspension
• Ban from the Service and connected game servers

5. Service Availability and Modifications

5.1 No Warranty of Availability

RankedRust is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• 100% uptime or availability
• Accurate or bug-free ELO calculations
• Data preservation during outages

5.2 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
• Change ELO algorithms or ranking systems
• Add, remove, or modify features
• Reset statistics or rankings if necessary

5.3 Maintenance

We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily restricts access to the Service. We will attempt to provide notice when possible.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Rights

RankedRust, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Third-Party Rights

• Rust: Owned by Facepunch Studios. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Facepunch.
• Steam: Owned by Valve Corporation. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve.

6.3 User Content

By submitting content (clan names, descriptions, etc.), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the Service.

7. Data and Statistics

7.1 Ownership

All ELO ratings, statistics, and rankings are owned by RankedRust. You do not own your ELO score or statistics.

7.2 Public Display

By using the Service, you consent to the public display of your username, avatar, ELO rating, statistics, and clan membership on leaderboards and profiles.

7.3 Data Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that statistics or ELO ratings are 100% accurate. We may correct errors or anomalies at our discretion.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• RankedRust is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service
• We are not responsible for loss of data, ELO, or statistics
• We are not liable for issues with connected game servers
• We are not responsible for actions of other users
• Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD

9. Account Termination

9.1 By You

You may request account deletion at any time by contacting contact@rankedrust.com. Your data will be deleted within 30 days.

9.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, with or without notice.

10. Dispute Resolution

10.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable international laws and the laws of the jurisdiction where disputes arise.

10.2 Disputes

Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Service should first be addressed by contacting us at contact@rankedrust.com. If unresolved, disputes will be handled according to the laws of your jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of RankedRust after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Material changes will be notified via a notice on the website or email (if we have your contact information).

13. Miscellaneous
